This page lists the cookies and similar browser storage used by Aavira Films, what each one does, and how long it lasts. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains what we do with personal information more generally. Everything below is first-party — set by this website, under this domain — unless it is described as belonging to a third party.
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to keep, and to send back the next time you visit. It is how a site remembers that you are signed in, or that you arrived from a particular link. We also use two related browser features: "session storage", which your browser clears the moment you close the tab, and "local storage", which persists until it is cleared. Both are covered by this policy.
These make the site work. They cannot be switched off from here, and blocking them will break signing in and submitting forms. • aav_at — your signed session token. It is what keeps you logged in. HTTP-only, so JavaScript on the page cannot read it. Short-lived; it is refreshed silently while you are active. • aav_rt — a rotating refresh token used to renew aav_at without asking you to log in again. HTTP-only. It is replaced each time it is used and revoked when you log out. • aav_csrf — a cross-site request forgery token. Every form and every action that changes data must send this value back, which is how we prove the request came from a page on this site and not from somewhere else. It lasts for your session. We set no strictly necessary cookie until you actually need one — browsing the public pages of this site signed out sets no session cookie at all.
These remember small preferences so the site behaves sensibly. They hold no personal information. • aav_curtain — a session-storage flag that records that you have already seen the opening title animation, so it does not replay on every page you visit. Cleared when you close the tab. • aav_attr_last — a session-storage record of the most recent link that brought you to the site, used to attribute an enquiry you submit in the same visit. Cleared when you close the tab. If you have asked your operating system to reduce motion, the opening animation never runs and the aav_curtain flag is never written.
No analytics or measurement cookies are set on this website at present. If we add an analytics tool later, this page will be updated to name it before it goes live, together with the cookies it sets and how long they last.
These let us credit the right person when someone recommends us, and understand which channels bring enquiries. They do not identify you by name. • aav_vid — an anonymous visitor identifier: a random string generated in your browser. It is not derived from your name, email, phone number, IP address or device fingerprint, and it tells us nothing about you except that two visits came from the same browser. Lifetime: 60 days. • aav_attr_first — the first campaign, search or link that brought you to the site (source, medium, campaign, referrer and landing page). Lifetime: 60 days. • aavira_referral — the referral code of the partner whose link you followed, together with the moment you followed it. It is written when you open a partner link of the form /r/your-partners-code, and it is read again on our server if you later submit an enquiry, so the right partner is credited. It is signed and readable only by our server, never by scripts in your browser. Lifetime: 60 days. None of these are advertising cookies, none are shared with an ad network, and none are used to follow you across other websites.
When you open a partner's referral link, we store that partner's code in your browser for 60 days — 60 days. That period is the attribution window. If you submit an enquiry at any point inside that window, the enquiry is credited to that partner, even if you came back later through a search or by typing the address directly. Once the window expires the code is discarded and no partner is credited. If you follow a second partner's link before the window ends, the more recent code replaces the earlier one, so the most recent referrer is the one credited. Clearing your cookies clears the code, and with it the credit. The window and the rules that decide which referrals qualify are set out in full in our Partner Program Terms.
We set no advertising or retargeting cookies on this website. What this site does set are the first-party referral and attribution cookies described above, which exist to credit a referral and to understand which channels bring enquiries — not to serve you advertising elsewhere. We never sell the contents of any cookie set by this site.
Some pages embed material from other services — video players such as YouTube or Vimeo, and map embeds. When you play an embedded video or interact with an embedded map, that provider may set its own cookies on your device, under its own policy and outside our control. Embedded players load only where they appear on a page, and we use privacy-friendly embed options where the provider offers them.
You can see, block and delete cookies from your browser's settings, usually under Privacy or Site settings. Most browsers also offer a private or incognito window that discards everything when you close it. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop you from signing in and from submitting forms on this site. Blocking or clearing referral cookies is entirely safe — the only effect is that a partner referral may not be credited. This site does not currently act on "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control browser signals, because there is no agreed standard for how a site must respond to them. If that changes, this page will say so.
