A pre-wedding shoot is the one day the camera belongs entirely to the two of you. No timeline, no relatives waiting, no ceremony to get back to — just an idea, a place and a few good hours of light.
The concept
One idea, followed properly
The pre-wedding shoots that age well are the ones built around a single idea rather than a folder of saved references. A city you both grew up in. The long drive you always take. A room, a season, a colour.
We spend a call working out what that idea is for you, and then everything else — the location, the time of day, what you wear, whether there is a film at all — is decided in service of it.

Locations
Where these work best
The location is a decision, not a backdrop. Each of these asks for a different call time, a different lens and a different amount of planning.
Old cities and heritage
Stone, arches, faded paint and morning light. Historic quarters photograph beautifully at dawn, before the streets fill and while the colour is still warm.
Water and coast
Backwaters, lakes and coastline give you space, wind and a horizon — and an evening light that does most of the work for you.
Hills and open country
Scale, mist and long empty roads. Hill shoots need an early start and a weather plan, and they reward both.
Studio and set
When the weather cannot be trusted or the idea calls for control, a built set gives you a look nothing outdoors can — and a shoot that runs to the minute.
Cinematic pre-wedding
A short film, not a montage
A pre-wedding film should be able to hold someone for two minutes without a drop in the music doing the work. Ours are built on a scene — something you are actually doing — with sound recorded on location rather than dropped in afterwards.
We shoot it the same day as the photographs where the light allows, or on a separate day when the idea deserves its own schedule.

Couple photography
Being together, not posing together
Most people have never been photographed properly and feel it in the first ten minutes. We start with something easy — walking, talking, ignoring the camera — and by the time you have forgotten we are there, we are getting the frames worth keeping.
If you want the classic frames too — the ones your parents will ask for — we shoot those deliberately, near the end, when you are warmed up rather than stiff.
Styling
What to wear, decided early
Outfits change a photograph more than any camera setting. We go through colour, texture and how each option reads against the chosen location before the day, so nothing is guessed at in the car.

- Notes on fabric, footwear and what wind will do
- Hair and make-up timing worked back from call time
Planning
How a shoot is put together

The idea first
One call to find the through-line: how you met, what you are like together, what you would actually want on a wall. The location follows from that, not the other way round.

Recce and permissions
We check the location at the exact hour we plan to shoot, and sort permissions or entry fees in advance so nothing is negotiated on the morning.
- 03
The shoot day
Usually two light windows — just after sunrise and the hour before sunset — with a break in the middle. Unhurried, with time to change and to sit down.
- 04
Edit and delivery
A graded photo set first. If you booked the film, it follows once the music and sound design are locked.
