A wedding reel is not a film chopped down to thirty seconds. It is its own format — vertical, fast, built around a single moment — and it is what most of the people who could not attend will actually watch.

Four reasons a reel is its own job
Treating vertical as an afterthought is why most wedding reels look like an accident. We plan for it on the day.
Shot vertical, not cropped
A landscape frame cropped to 9:16 loses the room and usually the person standing next to you. Reel moments are framed vertically on the day, by someone assigned to it.
Cut for sound off
Most people watch the first three seconds on mute. The opening has to work as a picture before the music does anything, so we cut for that first and add the audio second.
Delivered while it matters
A teaser in the days after the wedding, while everyone is still posting. The full film takes as long as it takes; the reel does not have to wait for it.
Yours to post
Delivered in the sizes each platform actually wants, with and without captions, so nothing has to be re-exported by a cousin at midnight.

Something to send in the first week
A teaser exists for one reason: the wedding is still being talked about and there is nothing to show yet. It is short, it is deliberately incomplete, and it goes out days after the event rather than months.
We cut it from footage pulled and graded ahead of the main edit, so it never delays the film it is teasing.

From the day to the post

Flagged on the day
During the events we mark the moments that will carry a short cut — an entry, a reaction, a line from a speech — so the edit is not a search through forty hours of footage.

Teaser first
A short vertical teaser cut and delivered soon after the wedding, from footage pulled and graded ahead of the main edit.

The reel set
A handful of vertical cuts, each built around one moment rather than a montage of all of them.

Formats and captions
Exported in the aspect ratios and durations each platform accepts, with burned-in captions supplied separately so you can choose.
A note on music and rights
Reels live or die on the track, and popular tracks get muted or taken down. We cut with licensed music by default so your reel stays up and stays yours. If you want a specific chart track, we will tell you plainly what the risk is and cut a licensed alternative alongside it, so you always have a version that survives.
